I actually agree with this. No one should be forced to hug (or otherwise touch in any way) someone when they don’t want to, including kids. Some people, even kids, don’t like being touched, and even though we tend to trust family members and close friends, they’re the ones most likely to molest your child so perhaps if the kid has such an aversion to hugging a particular person, there’s a reason behind it.

Can I gracefully raise their hand and kiss the back of it? Like back before the sexual revolution, when women were respected and not seen as sex slaves.

Yes, I agree with JerseyGirl415’s points. I ask my kids if they want to hug people. Sometimes they do, sometimes just a high 5 or fist bump, sometimes nothing. I know I don’t want to be forced to do it myself.

I agree with it but it should apply to both sexes.

This shouldn’t be a political issue. People should respect their kids’ bodies and boundaries.

Pretty soon with the way things are going you aren't going to be allowed to even make eye contact with anyone anymore or it will be called sexual harassment/assault. "He undressed me with his eyes!"

Hey, maybe your uncle Joe will demand a hug from your kid & cop a feel while he's at it. You wouldn't mind, right?

Of course your kid shouldn't be forced to hug anyone. What the eff kind of person would do that?? Jesus.
