Believe him? No, we just don't give a ****. This story is literally meaningless, as it does not matter where on this planet another American came from legal immigration-wise. Warren's, on the other hand, is not meaningless. She quite obviously made an attempt to appropriate a native and culturally-sensitive heritage for her benefit, of which she was successful. Harvard didn't use her statistic as a female Native American to defend its diversity record out of thin air. She claimed it. She benefited from it. Harvard believed her. How many times has that happened to you in your life.....someone writing an article and using a fake racial heritage to describe you? None, i'm quite sure. These things don't happen randomly and without substantiation, and to assert that it did is intellectually dishonest.
excellent rationalization of Trump's lie. you should call trump and slowly , very slowly explain it to him.
Please cite where Elizabeth Warren was hired based on any perceived minority status. Please cite proof.
Doesn't matter. These schools didn't make this up out of thin air. Why would they refer to her as a minority or Native American if she didn't tell them that? And what would make you think that being a female Native American would NOT bestow some sort of preference in consideration of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which governs affirmative action? OF COURSE she benefited....the school would be hard pressed to answer why it DIDN'T give preference to her. Not the other way around.

Exactly. Lizzywatha lied for a direct benefit--one admitted to by the university.
Turns out Warren is not alone in claiming ancestry she didnt have based upon family stories. In this case though the family story was a known lie (unlike Warrens) that was told specifically for their families financial benefit. (Warren does not appear to have benefited from her claim). In this case the grandfather was German, and claimed Swedish heritage in order for his customers to buy things from him.
The family that kept up this known lie for generations? Why the Trump family of course.
Making his attacks on Warren insanely hypocritical.

warren got into harvard as a result of her claim that she was native american, and harvard used that claim in their diversity statistics. that in itself was a benefit for warren, despite the lie. and beyond that anytime she used the "i am a native american" lie, she did so to gain a benefit.
back in the day when trumps grandfather claimed to be swedish, there was a benefit, he was able to get gainful employment, and he did get beat up by the anti german crowd at the time. however dj trump never gained any benefit from claiming to be swedish.

There is no proof that she used Native American ancestry on her application to get into Harvard. Yes, Harvard Law School listed her as a "minority professor" in her faculty bio. Again, what benefit did she receive from that? You have no proof, and you can't just assert that she received a benefit without stating what the benefit is.

Look up the definition of the word "lie" in the dictionary.

Rachel Madcow is still trying, though.
And yet, neither you nor Rufus Clay Burger, nor anyone else in this thread have explained exactly what benefit Warren received by claiming part Native American ancestry. And again, it wasn't a lie.
