All this wasted time, money and energy would be better spent if Dems tried to find a decent candidate to run in 2020. Plenty of time to find someone with no skeletons in their closet.

Well, the tax bill IS going to screw it up. We are now nearing the end of the good times - the beginning of the bad times will start no later than 2019, more likely a slowdown will begin middle or latter part of 2018.
