Devastating California wildfires predicted to cost US economy $85 billion; Containment may take weeks
https://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...weeks/70003000

THAT ^^^ was two months ago!

Add $10B Northern CA and $30B for the southern cal fires over the last two weeks.

Let this backassward state figure it out, because we don't need the Feds!

Funny how things work out when the people of this state get so full of themselves, eh?

I expect Moonbeam to come crawling to Trump... oh the irony!

Again... you people sound like complete idiots when you call the 6th biggest GDP on the planet and home to most of the biggest corporations driving 21st century technology as "communist." Don't you have any sense of personal pride and at least some desire to come across to people as a passingly knowledgeable adult?

And did you say the same nonsense back when Harvey hit Texas? Yeah, that's what I thought. Discredited.

The answer is clearly "no". Backwaters revel in their brackishness. The haters are from states with GDPs equivalent of El Salvador - - they are inconsequential and they know it.

Hurricane Harvey damage costs: $180 billion. $125 billion in federal relief.

Natural disasters happen throughout the US. If Texas deserves help after a hurricane, so does California after wildfire.

Gah, I’m sick of partisan nonsense.

Mods should just merge this with all the other CA hater threads. Then make it a sticky so the posters on it don’t have to strain their limited mental capacity on finding it. Then we can all move on.

And Texas has $10 billion in a rainy day fund that they refuse to tap to aid in their own recovery. If this isn't a "rainy day" I don't know what is. Instead, they have their hands out and expect federal assistance.

I bet the OP says nothing about that.

California says "Trump is not our President" so maybe Trump should tell them "Not my wildfires" .
