Maybe but isn't it too early to know if the accident was related to infrastructure?

Yeah, who needs electricity, plumbing, roads, airports and rail lines!

YEAH!

As if the "free market" would ever deliver those solutions to remote areas of the country.

If you live in a rural part of the country, as many conservative people do, you would literally not have the majority of the services that allow for your living arrangement to exist without infrastructure spending by the government (for the welfare of this nation and its people - thank you Constitution!).

From what I understand this was a new train on a new overpass on a new route. Let's rephrase the concern for infrastructure to be concern for legislation which controls the quality of construction on the infrastructure.

QC should be a basic requirement for anything we build, so we shouldn't have to state it specifically - but I agree.

President Trump made statement about train crash in California.

Trump stated that all of the USA infrastructure will be done.

No date given for starting the repair of USA infrastructure.
Well okay, but they were saying earlier this was a well funded pet project.

Most likely for the same reason it wasn't Obama's, GWB's. Clintons or anyone elses. It isn't a headliner.
There is another reason.
Projects like Boston's tunnel, Alaska's bridge to no where and quite a fe other pork busters.

Maybe but it was the 1st run of that train on that track so obviously someone screwed up big time. Now we have to go back to the basics of proper design, construction, and quality testing....all to say, Trump is right and we need to invest much more in our infrastructure.

What I fear with infrastructure spending is more million dollar bathrooms at rest areas. Bridges to no where and Tunnels that go so far over budget due to graft and shoddy workmanship.

Not that all legislation / regulation is good legislation /regulation but Trump was just out promoting how we need to eliminate regulations so that construction projects could be done more rapidly without all the needless regulatory safe guards.
