Liberals don't seem enthusiastic about these companies sharing the wealth as a result of the tax bill. THis is what I suggest. Whenever you regain control of the government again - and you will at some point - when you pass a huge corporate tax increase, suggest to companies that support your agenda to give out bonuses as a celebration of the tax hike. Let's see how they respond...

Merry Christmas
This conservative guy is dead set against the tax bill -- which makes zero sense given our large debt.

Next year we will see if they are still so generous.
Doesn't matter if it was for show or not, they got bonuses.

Everyone already knows that if you give corporations more cash they will spend it on M&A, stock repurchase programs, dividends, and bonuses.
BOA is spending $145 million here, plus the Employer's matching SS & Medicare portion. Another $10 million.

MAGA.

You tell me who gives much more than 2% these days.

The ACA itself destabilized the medical insurance system by not reimbursing them. Are you aware of how many insurance companies have dropped out of the ACA?

I think it excellent that BOA (with gross profits of 92 billion in 2016) is giving 145 million to 145,000 employees.

Oddly, under TARP, BOA received 45 Billion dollars, of which they paid out 3.3 billion in bonuses, with 172 employees receiving $1 Million or more:

Bailed-out banks gave millions in exec bonuses, NY AG report shows - ABC News

Essentially, BOA had to bribe their top executives to not leave for other work. It is a strange world.

Hence, I am happy that these people are getting $1,000 each. Of course, BOA had paid bonuses before, but this is, I guess, a special bonus.

How would really know. They might give bonuses like this every year. This year they publicized it.

I'm skeptical as well. A thousand dollars divided by 52 weeks equals $19.23. From what I've been reading, that's about what the average tax cut will give you in your paycheck. Here's another question. Since we've lowered the corporate tax rate to give the 1% the lions share of the tax breaks and they also have off shore factories. What's to stop a foreign country from lowering their tax rate as well to keep those jobs in a foreign country? They're still paying lower wages and they get a tax incentive to stay. Sweet, ya think. Those bonuses? Crumbs compared to what the corporations are getting.

Don't act like some of this was also due to instability in the market due to repeal-replace. Here are articles across the year 2017 stating and supporting my claim.

Perhaps the Republicans are just as guilty as you claim the democrats are. The only solution isSingle-payer healthcare.
