Looks like a 26 year-old white boy living in Modesto who is a truck driver. This young man seems to have converted to the Religion of Peace. He has expressed support for ISIS and he was also angry that President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

They found a handwritten letter that read "you've allowed Donald Trump to give Al Quds away to the Jews."

It was on the national evening news tonight. The story I saw listed Fisherman's Wharf as the target. (Pier 39 is on Fisherman's Wharf.)

Everitt Aaron Jameson, a tow-truck driver, is the suspect. He is a Muslim convert who lives in Modesto.

According to a Fox news account online "Jameson attended Marine basic training "in or about" June 2009 and "graduated several months later." Jameson trained as a sharpshooter, but was later discharged for failing to disclose a history of asthma."

FBI agents confiscated fireworks, two rifles and a 9mm handgun, along with multiple magazines.

The irony is that if the shooter had been able to carry out his plans, there's a very good chance the victims would have been tourists, not locals. People who live in San Francisco avoid Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 like the plague.

When I lived there I visited the piers all the time.

Tourists visit Fisherman's Wharf in late December when it's this cold outside? It's locals and people from the surrounding suburbs.

I don't know any locals that do. I happen to walk by fisherman's wharf maybe once or twice a year, and I never walk down pier 39 itself (tourist trap inside a tourist trap).

Fisherman's wharf is definitely a tourist attraction all year long. I'm not sure what it being December would do to change that. Winter temperaturesis in SF are not dramatically colder than mid-Summer temperatures. SF has one of the smallest temperature differences between summer and winter in the area.

I'm only taking reports like that one with a grain of salt. For all we know that guy could really be a Hare Krishna who was plotting to hand out flowers and the government created a story for other reasons. I don't trust any reports associated with politics these days.

Who cares who’s at the pier during this time of year, are you all really going to argue if it’s locals or tourists, either way, it would have been a tragedy. It’s little sh*t like this that drives me insane, argue about the most ridiculous things, when there is something much bigger going on, like a mass shooting that is being talked about
