President Trump sent roughly a quarter fewer Mexicans back to their home country between January and December this year than former President Barack Obama did during the same period in 2016, according to Mexican government data.

Trump's administration sent about 152,000 Mexican nationals back to their home country, compared to roughly 205,000 in the first 11 months of 2016.

The Mexican government considers the 152,000 individuals to be repatriated, meaning migration officials ordered they be returned to their country of origin, according to Bloomberg News.
Cracking down on immigration was a hallmark of Trump's presidential campaign, with a particular focus on building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump has drawn criticism for his rhetoric toward Mexicans, who he called "rapists" and criminals during his campaign launch event in 2015

MY problem with the wall is that at some point if someone REALLY wants over it they will find a way.
But no worries I don't see the wall ever being built in the first place.

Half the story, as usual, from the media.

An ICE report of data through early October showed that removals of Mexican nationals were down, but administrative arrests of all immigrants were up 30 percent in fiscal year 2017. It concludes that the decrease in removal numbers overall compared to fiscal year 2016 was primarily due to about 17 percent fewer migrants apprehended at the border.

“For Mexicans who enter illegally, effective tools like expedited removal have led to increased deterrence, which has impacted entry levels," Tyler Q. Houlton, acting press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, said in an email response to questions.

Obama counted those turned around at the border as deportations. That isn't the way that deportations are counted.

Well then let's remove any walls around any of our homes and businesses since they don't deter criminals 100%. Liberal logic.

For the umpteenth time Trump did not call Mexicans in general rapists, etc. He was referring to those here illegally and he didn't say they were all that way. I can't believe that this lie is still being repeated for well over a year now.
