The lie in three short paragraphs. Marxist media the mouthpiece of democrats joined at the hip.

Paragraph one : The stock market's dreadful performance this quarter has brought uncomfortable parallels with some of the darkest periods in Wall Street history.

Paragraph three :Thankfully, the current slump is nowhere near as serious as the 35% meltdown from a decade ago.
I have no idea what you think the lie is. Perhaps if you read a just a little further you would understand what the first paragraph was referring to.

The bad news is that the S&P 500 has only started the fourth quarter this horribly five other times in history, according to Bespoke. And those years are all infamous. Besides 2008, these years include the Great Depression (1929, 1932 and 1937) as well as 1987 during the Black Monday crash.

Sweet! Sounds like a buying opportunity to me!

Apparently you couldn't get to paragraph three.
Paragraph one had you hook line and sinker.
That was reason for making it paragraph one. Never be late with the bait.

For those who can take the conversation up a notch intellectually here is a more complex idea.

Will this ‘buy, cry, die’ chart pattern signal a stock-market bottom?

‘Exasperation’ by pundits, media also point to room for rally: analyst

So you have nothing and just revert to personal insults. Got it.

This has pretty much been his MO all along. I can't wait to read his posts once the Mueller investigation report is made public and Little Donny Jr is indicted. The excuse making and personal attacks will be epic.

You may not be keeping up with the thread but I bought into the DOW yesterday. Lets see how that goes.

Its a highly risky move. I may get slaughtered. I'm not really investing but trading for a short term gain.

I expect to exit again on a test of the all time high. Somewhere around a 1500 point gain.

As you say I may have to let it ride for a few years. Thanks for the tip.
Noted that you did not answer my question.

There are bargains out there for sure, as there always are in bear markets. But objectively, the market is still over-valued and has a ways to come down. The bigger picture is that the staggering world debt is going to eventually collapse the global economy. Things could get much, much worse before they get better.

Mostly agree, thats why I've pretty much been keeping an eye on about 4 stocks/ETFs that I follow closely and mostly just day trading them. Its worked pretty well to help increase my cash position by about 40% over the last few weeks. Curious to see what Friday brings with the expected low volume.
