This fall is due to the COVID-19, as well as the disagreement between OPEC and Russia.

You, the OP, may be pleased at paying $1.75 at the pump, but this collapse in oil means tens of thousands of oil workers laid off, and the loss of royalty revenue to millions of Americans.

it is a disaster. YOU may save some $1.00 at the pump for a full tank, but the ramifications on the US and world economy will be immense.

I assume you are a Trump supporter?

It won't be much fun for the oil patch workers in Texas and North Dakota who will inevitably be laid off.

Not to mention the oil drilling companies who will go bankrupt.

By the same token, a transport and agriculture sector becomes healthier.
