And if the markets came back and had a little uptick you would say it's Trump's genius. I'd like to be in a poker game with you. I could look around the table and know that I wasn't the patsy.

Seriously? Lies. The S&P was at about 2085 when Trump was elected. Today, it’s at about 2850. That looks like a heck of a gain to me.

trump was actually elected about 31 months ago. Markets were generally net down for 2018.

On the contrary, we are learning quite a bit.

The OP was ridiculed by us when he started this thread 17 months ago, cheering on the then-soaring Dow. In those intervening 17 months, the Dow has gone absolutely nowhere. Thus, we have been right to ridicule him.

It is people like you who have learned nothing. You haven't learned that we have been right.

Actually, nothing in the original post is incorrect. It's as true today as it was the day he posted it. So what is there to ridicule?

Stocks jumped on the tax cuts for the rich but since then have held steady and declined on tweets of Trump's economic blunders rising again when he backs off. Net result - no change in a year and a half.

Are politics having a impact on the markets ?

Nancy says she wants a intervention on Trump.
Translation:
What she really wants is an intervention on the economy & markets. She drove a stake through the heart of congress working with the President in any bipartisan way to move the country forward. Her actions have lead to more uncooperating dysfunction in government and uncertainty in the markets.
Fear not the data is not in her favor long term !!!
