They are? 2%, 4%, and 6% +/- in a day? 8-10% in a week? You know those types of changes happen on a fairly regular basis, yet we don't have great depressions or recessions on a fairly regular basis. Something in this alleged fact set must be off. Happy to see some data if you have a source though.

There are only a handful of traders left on the floor these days, I'd be more concerned about the IT staff making sure that the systems can handle any crazy volume and volitality.

I imagine the "trading floor" loves this. The brokerages make money on the volume.
