And your reasoning about why it's gone nowhere for the PAST YEAR before that?
C'mon, be reasonable (tough, I know).....Trump Chaos is the #1 reason - fear of the unknown. The markets could care less either way about a shutdown. A shutdown actually costs US vast amounts of money as the agencies have said just spooling down and then back up again is extremely costing and delays any decent projects and plans (infrastructure, etc.).
Way up? Wow, only down 10% from a YEAR ago (which is 20% or more below where it should be if we MADE 10% this year)...
Please - let's talk when it hits 28K which is OK, but still not great - that would represent about a 5% rate of growth for 20 years.
The largest point gain in history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's waaay up....UGE!!!!!!!!!!! MAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Trump finally leaves office in a straight jacket, everything about our country will improve.
However, I’m not sure I will ever feel good about the deplorables. Never had a problem despising this type of people before. Now it won’t be easy to forget what fools they have been.
After a while it means nothing...if the DOW is up "two whole days worth of last week losses" it's not an indicator of much.
We had a whole year of good news where it went nowhere.
I suppose we are in a situation where, at best, we get back to nothing (25K+). At worst...well, we get down to 15K.
Neither of those are "great".
Exactly. All it means is Wall Street is positive about the consumer debt driven economy and the "good numbers" from this year's holiday sale projections. The issue is will when people get their tax returns, is it going to be one off thing or will people continue drowning themselves in debt to help the economy.
