Actually, it's more complicated than that. The data series you're talking about is a bit noisy. Here's a link on FRED:
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CE16OV
If you zoom in with the slider thing beneath the graph you'll notice it often temporarily has 1 or 2 month bumps up or down. There was a bump up in September which appears to have caused the artifact you're referring to. Otherwise, from all appears the longer-term trend appears to be intact.

To be fair, this forum is constantly cluttered with nonsense about how "doomed" California is, so the far-right is no better than the far left in this area.

As for the topic at hand, I despise Trump and everything he represents. He is a liar, a fraud, and a crook. He pays neither his taxes nor his employees, molests, women, and dodged the draft. Worse, the bigotry, ignorance, and theocratic politics that got him into office present a serious threat to this nation. He's basically a crook - like Clinton - with the maturity of a child and the tolerance of a Klan Grand Dragon mixed together.

But despite ALL of that, I'm not going to blame him for this because it wouldn't be fair.

Just as the continuing stock market rise is mostly due to policies enacted under Obama, this new weakness in the labor market is most likely caused by past events, as well as the general economic cycle.

Is Trump a liar for pretending he could somehow break that cycle? Yes. Is he a fraud for trying to steal credit for the recovery under Obama? Yes. Were his supporters hoodwinked when they believed his nonsense about endless jobs and prosperity that would somehow magically appear for everyone? Yes. But there's no direct evidence Trump's actions are the CAUSE of this slow job growth.

Now, do I expect Trump to enact any meaningful policies to address it? Of course not. The only reason he's ever stayed employed is the gullibility of others, not through any actual skills he has, so he won't have a clue what to do here other than to blame "Obama" or minorities.

Lol... funny how the far-right believes everything Breitbart says, until it disagrees with them. Have the right-wing nuts over there blame "Obama" yet for the slowdown?

Can you provide any proof to anything you've stated?

Are you sure? Ole Barry Sotero was a big fan of Stalinist thinking. On several occasions he tried to implement collectivization. Thankfully Americans are not as stupid as he thought we were. Obama has gone down as one of the worst, most corrupt and dishonest leaders in hisory.

Does it count if those jobs are in the service industry? I'm betting they are and I'm sure the fact that they are making min wage or close to it, is ok because for you and the rest jobs are up. Whatever that means.
