All good points but there’s a catch: Trump is not obligated to prove his innocence just because liberals think he’s guilty.
And we all know there is no evidence of any kind.
It is what it is.
In my way of thinking, I would want to clear it up for everybody in the country. He may not be obligated, but if I were innocent of all these allegations, I'd sure as hell shout it from the rooftops if I were him.
lol @ the Leftist wordsmithing. I heard him say this on TV. He said it is unlikely he will because there is no collusion and therefore no reason to interview him. He in no way said he refuses to like so many truth twisters here are trying to portray.
Nobody has said he refuses to. You might want to re-read the thread.
"refuses to commit" is not "refusing to interview". This is rather obvious, is it not?
Also, the point of the entire thread is that it doesn't matter what he thinks on the matter. If he is subpoenaed, he'll have to interview with Mueller. The precedent has been set.
If I was in Donnie's shoes, and I was innocent, I would have already marched over to Bob Mueller's office and demanded to tell my side of the story to prove it and have the testimony made public.
What is he afraid of, I wonder...?
One does wonder.
And we know how Trump feels about people that plead the fifth to get out of answering questions:
A lot of weird contradictions in his previous statements and his current actions. Not that this is very surprising, of course, since he constantly contradicts himself...
Trump and his allies are afraid that he will be easily tripped up by Mueller. He would probably incriminate himself if interviewed.
