Project Veritas doesn't exactly have much credibility, especially after their Roy Moore fiasco.

Google is using the fact checking tools that we currently have. Give them credit for smart enough to ignore fake news site like Fox News and Breitbart.

I agree with the original poster that you have to approach anything you find on the Internet with a high level of skepticism. Just look at Breitbart and similar outlets which portray themselves as "news" organizations. For Google, the bias has always been toward $$$. Do a search these days and 50% of the page is consumed with targeted ads. That's the bigger concern than some perceived "liberal bias".

Twitter is another story. They have a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation on their hands. Once you start trying to censor certain content, even content as vile and dangerous as Donald Trump's, they essentially are working against the basic premise of their service. Don't see a bright future for them but you never know.

Hard to said if they'll continue to thrive. It depends also if the top brass avoid the same mistakes then Yahoo, Excite, AOL did.

There was a time when Yahoo refused to buy Google, big mistake... https://finance.yahoo.com/news/remem...132805083.html

If true, it is yet unknown whether Twitter is voluntarily disclosing this sensitive information or acting under a court order. Twitter is currently in the midst of defending itself from left-leaning criticism that President Trump hasn’t been removed from the enormous media platform for violations of Twitter’s Terms of Service"

A publicly traded company trying to help take down a president? If true these people are insane. And yesterday there was the story in the Daily Caller about Google and their new fact-check feature that targets conservative web sites.

Google's Fact-Checking Is Liberal Bias | The Daily Caller

Try it. Google the Daily Caller. Scroll down past the first hit. You'll see a description of the Daily Caller and two columns...Writes About and Reviewed Claims. In the Reviewed Claims column Google then links to the politicized Snopes, Politifact and Fact Check to decide whether a story is true or not. Now try HuffPo, Salon or Daily Kos. All you get is the Writes About column.

I know you libs are going to love this, but these companies are straying into deep political territory. Remember how Microsoft once thought they were too big for government intervention?
Google is too insular, closed off from reality and run by insane socialists to realize what is going to hit them.

Targeted ads, no matter where you surf, are a consequence of Google tracking you.

To the OP:

No, Google and Twitter will go out of business tomorrow because of one person.
