Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams Pay Disparity Defended for 'All the Money in the World' | TMZ.com

Michelle Williams holds hands with Casey Affleck*at Manchester By The Sea premiere | Daily Mail Online

Oscars asked to disinvite Casey Affleck following Weinstein scandal - INSIDER

In 2010, two women sued Casey Affleck for sexual harassment in lawsuits that have since been settled.
People are asking the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences not to invite the actor to present at next year's Oscars ceremony.
The allegations are back in the spotlight after Harvey Weinstein was booted out of the Academy for allegedly sexually assaulting dozens of women.

Michelle Williams is now complaining about not getting equal pay but after Kevin Spacey was thrown off the movie due to his admitted sexual abusing scandal, Michelle Williams said she would redo the scenes for free out of support for the #metoo movement.

Mark Wahlberg negotiated a deal and got paid $ 1,500,000 to redo scenes.

Michelle Williams got paid $ 1000 but that was $ 1000 than what she said she would do it for.

What a hypocrite. Either you admit you are volunteering to do it for free and happy getting $ 1000 or you shut up!

On top of that Michelle Williams is unknown to most people while Mark Wahlberg is very well known and doesn't need to do things for free and be happy to get a role and be in the news.

Michelle Williams was betting on getting the headlines and she did.

Where was Michelle Williams when Casey Affleck was accused in 2010 and it was well know when she held hands with him for the Oscars where Casey won and many females were upset or boycotted due to his sexual accusations.

Ohh come on, the movie industry is the worst barometer for equality for pay. We can post countless where female leads got paid more than their male counterparts. In movies it's all about bankibilty.

Curious minds wonder: who are these posters who are so obsessed with celebrity? Especially those who start threads about them.

It took a minute, as this OP seems to be discussing 2 different movies, and multiple male stars and issues.

But, Sounds like a management issue, not a sexist issue. Hire a better manager. End of.

ETA I was disappointed in the movie, Manchester by the Sea. I cannot believe it won an Oscar.

It is like when you say you'd work for free, then complain about getting minimum wage. I don't think it is good bit bad, but what is the obsession with Hollywood?

Hollywood funds Dems.

Lefty's say quiet !!!

No talking about our donor class.

Now they can't deflect to Wall ST. either.

Wall St is their donor class too.

Sssshhh !!! All quiet on the coastal bubble front.

Wall St is not just a Hollywood movie. Its a way of life to kill the middleclass.

NJ Gov.. Phil Murphy, a former Goldman Sachs executive and major Democrat donor

i watched the movie already and I gave it a 3 star. It is okay, but not that great.

In my opinio, Michelle Williams shouldn't be complaining. She came up with the ridiculously low number HERSELF, nobody forced on her. It is on her, not anybody else. No one has discriminated against her simply because she was a woman.

Years ago, when I worked for a charity, I told the director that I would've done an artwork for free. Then I found out other artists charged at least $1, 000 for their artworks. Since I made the commitment, I lost that right to complain. I learned to value my work, and i also learned to stop making promises so impulsively.

She is brilliant in the movie, but so is Mark Wahlberg. He negotiated a deal and it has nothing to do with being a man. It is a deal, nothing more or less.

She should let this go and stop complaining.
