I think Trump was right. In fact, the only people who think he is wrong are the NeverTrumpers and people who don't know any better.
I agree that we should give preferences to immigrants based on merit, but I would never use the language Trump used. It's contemptible.
I think most people would agree that it should be merit-based. I also think the immigration lottery criteria is lax and we should emulate Canada's and New Zealand's policies, which are fair.
However, political refugees are another issue, and we should continue offer protection when reasonable.
I lived in an African immigrant community in NYC. It was terrible for reasons that I can go into if you would like.
W. Virginia is pretty and, well its an entire state that is run by the people you disparage. Where is the state that is run by the immigrants that you laude? Nigeria?
It may be terrible to you but it doesn’t change the fact that their education levels are among the highest of all immigrant groups.

I am also wondering if the 94% who agree with Trump have any issues with certain 'poorer' states being referred to as ******* states? Tell it like it is?
The best thing about this thread is that it's almost 500 posts and the vast majority of the liberals aren't refuting that these countries are, in fact, s-holes. They just think people should not say certain hate facts out loud.
No one should refute. There are areas in the US that may be considered **** holes.
The point is Crooked Trump should show some damn class for once.
