I had this discussion with my second kid the other day, and here's a summary of her response, "Mom, I'm taking 18 hours of demanding coursework. I get up at six, take a shower, eat a quick breakfast, and then head to my first class at eight. My last class typically ends for the day at 6 pm. When I'm not in lecture or lab, I'm sitting in the library studying. I'm in bed by 10. I don't have time to listen to bullsh!t no matter who's doing the talking."

Millennials aren't terrified of speakers - they're the opposite. They're boldly taking a stand that they will not tolerate hateful ideas that tear down the community.
As much millennial bashing as I see, I feel just the opposite about this generation. They are brave, kind, accepting, nurturing and I'm proud to have raised 3 of them.
This isn't a political issue (conservative vs. liberal) as I see it.
Overprotective helicopter parenting (which both liberal and conservative parents are guilty of), and access to a large quantity, but not quality of information without the commensurate critical thinking skills (there IS a need for education beyond STEM) are some big reasons for this problem among SOME people of that generation.
I'm a millennial and I have my own business you have no idea what you are even talking about. I also don't care about hoarding money for the sake of hoarding like many right wingers do.
Congratulations. Is business better under Trump, or do you prefer higher taxes and more regulations?
Who are old conservatives to say what Millennials are afraid or not afraid of? Why are conservatives still so afraid of LGBT equality? Would you invite a pro-gay Democrat to speak in your church? I think not.

Conservative millenial here.
We aren't afraid of gays. We just don't agree with your lifestyle. Difference between us younger ones and the older ones. They want to persecute you for it. We don't care what decision you make.
Beings religion has very little bearing in my life. I wouldn't be opposed to a gay Democrat in church. They have a right to practice their religious beliefs or not as they see fit.
Contrary to popular belief I don't feel you should burn on a stake.
The older ones might.
So who really is the scared one...
A young gay who stands a far better chance in a physical altercation or a boomer who will need at least 6 months to recover from a broken hip?
It actually would be amusing if the whole 0 tolerance policy on bullying never came to be while we were in school, and see you throttle some old coger in the mouth defending what you believe in.
It's bred a mentality of woe is me I'm a victim I need an adult in the room!
Where I differ from them is I don't want to see 2 dudes or 2 chicks smooching. I don't go looking for gay festivities to raid or gay bars to attend to stir up trouble just for the sake of stirring up trouble. What y'all do in private do it up butter cup.
you are not taking a stand but preventing people from speaking by deciding what YOU think is hate speech.
