President Trump and the Republican Congress are allocating 41 million next year for San Francisco to house the homeless which is over 20% more than last year. That is $9,500 per unsheltered homeless person.

Ironically, the mayor to appease liberal Hillary Clinton/Bernie Sanders voting San Francisco elites in her city has decided to start dumping huge boulders in areas where the homeless live.

It is so odd how President Trump and the GOP congress allocated $9,500 per-person and the city dumps boulders all the over the place hoping they will go across to the bridge Oakland and likely will give much of the money to the dozens of fake "non-profits" so their executives can live a lavish lifestyle.

President Trump and Republicans are giving San Francisco 41 million to shelter the cities 4,300 people living unsheltered on the streets.

Amazing how the most compassionate President in history and the most compassionate congress are giving 41 million in grants for the city to shelter the 4,300 people on the streets which works out to about $9,500 per homeless person.

I guess the city though is going to take the 41 million dollars for the 4,300 homeless and dump a bunch of boulders where the homeless live.

I'm glad they're dumping boulders. Homelessness is out of control in SF and other CA cities. Being soft has not worked. Time to crack down and not be such bleeding hearts. I guess you didn't learn anything from the Kate Steinle murder?

You complain when (at least according to you) cities don’t do anything about it. Complain when they do.
What’s your grand solution for combatting homelessness?

Withhold ALL funds to California and all of it's cities (& Colleges) as long as they maintain their Sanctuary State status.

This would be a good place to start.

The city is spending almost 300 million this next year on this. Trumps 41 million is a small part of it.

The question is....how can you throw that much money at the problem, and fail so hard?

probably because the city government does not want to try and solve the homeless problem, so they can continue to get money from the state and the feds.

I went to SF a year ago... and they have large turds on the sidewalks every so often... homeless was everywhere... the elitist liberals walk by them pretending they didn't exist... I thought it was odd since on TV and in front of people, liberals proclaim to be of exceptional character...

Given what the OP and other ultra-conservatives general say and think? They would want to dig Obama a new one if he chose to ...... waste this money on a liberal cesspool and sanctuary city at its worst. Instead a GOP Congress and President is doing this and they DON'T GET BENT about waste of money on a sanctuary city and .... let it rot. .

They realize San Francisco and its region. Contributes much to the US and culture played much. Ifs CURSE is weather homeless can live year-round outside. Many are mentally ill, former hippy's who drugs and alcohol damage, even veterans with issues.

Liberalism did not cause it. Nimbyism helped keep SF from building up to accomidate is ultra-high desirability over the decades. Now the sky-high pricing still with demand never reached.

If SF builders and investors were allowed to build up. Replace areas with high-rise and skyscraper living that demand could fill. It might look like Hong Kong today. So curse of demand and desirability with weather and great vistas or liberalism and conservative reasoning to protect loosing SF's old built environment and neighborhoods....... still did not cause its homeless problems.

The Nation as a whole has. We closed mental institutions. Give some temporary psych treatment..... put them on meds and back on the streets. Many do not keep the treatment and remain lost.

These ranting threads on liberals cause it all gets old. It's great if congress tales notice that a GREAT CITY is in risk of this scourge of homelessness and sees fit to see Federal aid is part of the solution. This INLIKE MOST RANTING CONSERVATIVES WHO SAY .... LET THEM SWIM IN THE HUMAN LOW-LIFES THEY ALLOW, INVITE OR POLICY'S EVOLVED. LIVE IN THEIR OWN MESS.

But Congress apparently has more understanding and realizing WE ARE STILL ONE NATION that cannot nor should. Just sit back and blame, accuse and do nothing. Portland, Seattle, LA and San Diego also have year-round mild weather that invites those who can live outdoors year-round.

Many homeless were once productive citizens once .... they were not born that way. LET'S HOPE FOR SOME SUCCESS for these coming efforts AS A NATION UNDER GOD. Instead on constant demonizing each other constantly in creation of these extremist threads.
