The Hill has presented some educated predictions about how much further Trump has to fall, in the coming year. They think he will be charged for treasonous activities with the Russians and that his republican poodles in congress will be devastated by the unprecedented democratic turnout at the polls in November.

As I type this, I'm listening to Trump's inaugural address, where he gravely insulted the condition of our country and claimed he would fix everything. But we are now in so much more turmoil and are unable to even sustain our federal budget, due to the rancor he has instilled. The article in the link, offers a bit of hope that this is all soon coming to an end. The author of this article is John LeBoutillier, a former republican congressman from New York.

So, this is the same "prediction" the last 2 years....

How has that panned out?

The key words in the sentence. "has to fall"

Wishful thinking has accomplished a lot for you guys in the last 2 years.

what about the economy this year? gdp is predicted to be above 3% all year. you can focus on the man or the economy under his policies. I prefer the economy.

Trump is still overwhelmingly popular with his base. I don't see anything happening this year and I think he is safe from impeachment, even if Russian collusion is proven, as long as the GOP controls congress. Trump's base is a force to be reckoned with and no GOP congressman or senator will dare do anything to anger them.

John LeBoutillier doesn't pull any punches.

GOP got tax cuts for their corporate benefactors, their Cabinet picks confirmed and busy de-regulating and plundering the nation as fast as they can, and their court appointments including their corporate shill on the Supreme Court.

Not too shabby.
