I am a registered Democrat & I am ashamed of my party. If you want to protect the dreamers then agree to the wall. Give to get. Immediate problem over, government stays open & situation for now resolved.
These dreamers are illegal immigrants. They have broken the law. Are there what, a million of them? And yet, my party wants to hold this entire country of hundreds of millions hostage because of them.
The democrats used to be the defenders of the middle class. Where did my party go? It has abandoned me, a loyal voter who consistently supported straight democrat tickets on the ballots. Not the case anymore.
Our party has been hijacked by nuts and the loons on the far left. Everything they do seems to put Americans last or burdens the middle class.

DACA dreamer are not criminals. They pay taxes and are contributing members of society.
They became responsible for their own status when they reached 18 1/2. Doesn't matter whether they are criminals or not they are here illegally and shouldn't benefit from their parent's law breaking. Let's see, there 800,000 DACAs currently sucking up our jobs, etc. If Americans were holding those jobs instead wouldn't they in turn be paying taxes and contributing to our society?
