I think I'm getting the picture now. Nunes and Congressional leaders have a procedural method to release Nunes' memo, but they haven't pulled the trigger yet. Observers say the memo will be released, "it's just a matter of time." Why not release it now? What they are doing is holding off until Mueller issues his formal findings, at which time Nunes will swoop in, release his memo, and all of the Republicans are going to say, "Mueller's charges are no good because the evidence and the FBI are tainted!"

And when Mueller presents his recommendations to Congress for their consideration, the Repubs in Congress will say, "No impeachment. We can't have an impeachment proceeding based on faulty and biased evidence." You watch, that's what they will do.

He hasn't been sentenced, and who is going to say they won't cooperate after being charged with obstruction of justice? It doesn't sound like "flipping" at all.

Pitbulls don't sweat like that.

After spending millions of taxpayer dollars to justify his Benghazi conspiracy theory - Trey Gowdy came up with zero. The investigation just quietly shut down after the election.

Of course DOJ should get a copy. Might was well, DOJ will get it sooner or later, either by subpoena or in discovery.

There is two possibilities.

Either Nune's memo is legit, or it isn't.

If it isn't, than it will have no effect on Mueller's findings.

If it is legit, Mueller knows it, and will quietly go away.

You know what blows a hole in the whole "Deep State" and "FBI is biased against Trump" theory? FBI agents, for the most part, are conservative.

"Ali Soufan, a retired FBI counterterrorism special agent, warned that the attacks on the bureau were draining their accusers’ credibility.

“Some of the Republicans attacking the FBI are isolating themselves from otherwise sympathetic FBI agents. It’s no secret that the FBI tends to lean conservative,” Soufan said.

“The few GOP politicians attacking the FBI are, frankly, demagogues. They’re putting party and self-interest above country. They are damaging national security. They unfortunately gave up any moral authority.” (source: Daily Beast)

The DOJ will get it when it's released, it's as simple as that.

Except impeachment is a political process, a quasi-criminal proceeding, that effectively requires strong public support.

Nunes' memo doesn't have to be legit to be effective if it convinces a large portion of the public that Mueller's findings are tainted. This is why you have Hannity screaming on TV about rogue FBI agents arriving on UFO ships hell-bent on ousting Trump in a coup d'etat.

You are conflating the agents with people who make the decisions on what these agents are told to do. I don't know when people started the meme "well the agents are" or "how dare you question the agents they are". It's NOT the rank and file that's being questioned, it's leadership and upper management. The agents follow orders and I'm sure are pretty much all on the up and up.

How do people with two wits to rub together fall for Hannity's BS?
