Those who were really paying attention to the content of Trump's address, would have noted that most of it was intended to instill fear and xenophobia about foreigners, immigration and terrorism......
Actually I did pay attention to the content. Obviously you didn't, or chose to look the other way. He spent a lot of time going over all of the economic growth this country has now been experiencing, low unemployment numbers, bringing back the American Dream, not only to the dreamers, but also of those who were American born, because after all, they are dreamers too. And last but not least moving forward with keeping those in America safe.
But yes, from a terrorist, MS-13 gang banger and those who don't wish to be an "American Team Player", point of view, he sure did spend time instilling fear during the speech and I can fully understand why you and most of the Dems took offense to his speech.
American Team Player as in coming to America legally, being a positive asset to American society, giving honor, respect and appreciation for those who have the duties to protect and serve the citizens of this country, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for such freedoms (placing their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem) etc. etc. etc. REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREAD OR RELIGION. All at which none but about three Democrats stood up to honor and applaud, Pelosi NOT being one of these three.
No I'm a moderate that wants an end to immigration. It is making this country overcrowded, overdeveloped, etc. I don't want a nation of 400M due to immigration. If you care so much about your siblings, don't leave where you live and come here. Come here alone or stay where you are. Australia doesn't even let in people over 45 years of age, and they are far more liberal than the US. Immigration is more restrictive in Canada and Australia, are they liberal nations? Why do we have to be so generous letting in over 1M per year? Restrict immigration is right. It will help all of us. We have enough foreigners already. Don't need more of them.
Australia, like many countries, actively encourages retired Americans to relocate there. They even have an agency to facilitate the transfer of their Social Security benefits and to receive healthcare funded by our Medicare.

What does this have to do with millions of illegals crossing our borders and sucking on welfare?

Australia also has an island where they keep illegal alien refugees and has military ships patrolling the ocean for refugee boats.
It's very clear that the last year in the white house has been dysfunctional mayhem. According to the state of the union, every thing is coming up roses.
I was astonished when I read that. Forget news, they're just putting out whatever their readership wants to read. I guess this is how modern day newspapers survive

So what elements of the country or Trump's policy has been dysfunctional?
Tax cuts?
Regulation reform?
Securing borders?
Pro U.S. Energy policy?
National security?
