The main thing I worry about living in Nevada is that the liberals from California will infect this great state with their liberal garbage and we'll end up no better than them.

Come here, have fun, spend your money, and go home.

Yet another statistically challenged poster. While it should be obvious, some just have difficulty with the fact that you can't make valid comparison of growth rates unless the base is equivalent. Nevada has half or less the population of Arizona so it's rate of growth in jobs or population will be double for the same absolute number of jobs.

I saw where Idaho is the fastest growing state in the country. 100 people moved there. Right.

At least in Northern Nevada that train already left the station.

I am surrounded by it in Clark County. How is it on your side of the valley?

That's because lots of liberals from other states are moving in.

Definitely worth checking out.

Nevada is one of 8 states running out of water:

4. Nevada

> Pct. Severe drought 38.6%
> Pct. extreme drought: 21.6%
> Pct. exceptional drought: 15.9%

Divided into arid and semi-arid climatic regions, Nevada has the driest climate of any other state in the country. Due to the state’s dry conditions, laws have been put in place that prohibit new homes from planting grass in their front yards and that provide incentives for homeowners to get rid of existing lawns.

However, this summer has been even drier than usual. Slightly more than 76% of Nevada is currently in a state of severe to exceptional drought conditions. Nearly 2.6 million Nevada residents live in drought areas. The Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Mead supply Nevada and much of the region with water. Both supplies are weak compared to historical levels. Snowmelt from the Sierra Nevada range is low because of the warm winter, and Lake Mead’s water level has dropped steadily since the regional drought began.

It’s 2018 that USA today story is three years old!!! California is no longer in a drought. Why would you deceivingly post an article that three years old and make it look like it’s current WTH! Do you know Trump is president now, Obama was three years ago, what you post is about is relevant. Do you know that about 90% of Nevada belongs to the BLM and no one is living on this land. And lots of this undeveloped land owned by the BLM is where the drought is they have to go up and take water to the wild horses and donkeys that live in the area so they don’t die. Stick to an area of the country where you live and what you know about rather than posting old articles that are irrelevant now. Seriously you took the time to find that! USA today article is full of holes fake news. Nevada is in a better place then Arizona with water from the Colorado River.

Go inform yourself and listen to NPR‘s discussion with the water company from Nevada and the water company from Arizona. Arizona made a bad deal and they’re going to pay for it in the end meaning will probably get a lot of their people up here in Nevada.

The water that goes in the lake made comes from the western Rockies in Colorado so if they have a good snowfall
Lake mead fills up.

Nevada has a huge water surplus credit owed them because in about the last 18 years people have been taking out their front yards their backyards many people have Low usage water landscaping golf courses have been revamped to use less water, etc. and a much better job has been done with capturing rainwater in diverting it into Lakemeade in the last few years.

Governor Sandoval is a liberal Republican
