Then today we learn that US spies paid $ 100,000 to the Russians for dirt on Trump but were ripped off the money and didn't get what was promised.

Intel agency's are colluding with the Russians and there is proof of it. Yet, it is Trump that is being investigated for it without any proof he did. I mean actual proof not just allegations treated as proof.

Something is happening that is very strange and the Dems, intel agency's, FBI, DOJ, say they shouldn't be questioned or have to answer for their activities. Only their opponent isn't given the same defense they allow for themselves.
It looks like our system of justice now is the first to make unfounded allegation is granted immunity for their actions. No longer is innocent until proven guilty the standard. The burden of proof is no longer on the prosecutor but on the accused. They need to prove what didn't happen. A somewhat impossible task because there is no proof because it didn't happen.

Yes, but thank you for your suggestions. They are numbers 3 & 6 on my list above.

The irony here is most of the FBI is very conservative, very committed, and very innocent of ANY wrongdoing. The "Deep State" is the Trumpian attempt to smear a law enforcement organization that, along with 16 other intelligence agencies, have determined that Russia interfered with our election.

It's also clear that an entirely different set of "facts" belong to Trump followers, people who are somewhat divorced from reality and relying on rightwing agit-prop for their disinformation. The ignorance and paranoia runs very deep here.

Talk about a swamp, it's a fevered swamp.
When was the FBI honorable? Its been corrupt since its inception, with cross dressing closet homosexual hoover using it as his little private blackmail force.
Get rid of it ASAP

They certainly did not treat MLK very well. Frankly, the suggestion that the FBI/DOJ is this Mother Theresa innocent organization that is beyond reproach is a rather misguided and unsubstantiated idea.

That being said, it is not the entire staff of the DOJ/FBI that is being maligned here, which everybody here surely knows quite well. It is just a rather large section of their executive leadership, also incluiding AG's Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.

Rachel Brand, the #3 at the DOJ, left to be the general counsel at Walmart, which is one of the most attracive jobs in corporate America.

Just FYI.

It isn't the first time she baled under similar circumstances.

During her tenure at the Justice Department, Brand was tangentially involved in the controversy surrounding Attorney General Alberto Gonzales's dismissal of several United States Attorneys. She was floated by DOJ leadership as a top candidate to replace Margaret Chiara, who was ousted as part of the purge. Brand ultimately declined the position, however, and resigned from the DOJ in June 2007
