Yeah, but he would rather focus on non existing crimes by refugees (zero murders since 1970s).

Why is the right wing so misguided?
I don't know, but I did hear a Parkland father today say that he is much more worried about a nut with an AR-15 coming into his kid's school than a Mexican invasion.

Why do I have a feeling the bill wasn't as black and white as the Dems said? What were the details the Reps didn't like?

Fake news. A total lie.

This does not end gun checks for people with mental illnesses. This was explained at length back when it first came up.

I see you posting and supporting this dishonest article.

What does that say about you?

Why would any honest person even believe this article?

Yeah, and all the mentally ill people will get the bestest treatment in a bigly, hugely way, under TrumpCare, which was ready to go from Day 1! Wait ...nevermind!

Why are people on the left content to lie, then continue to repeat the lie over and over again?
In your case continue to repost debunked stories.
Now you might not have done your research on this issue and just go with whatever leftist/liberal reporter frames it in a mental illness issue, but that is not the case.

I have posted far too often on this subject to repeat myself, but understand that Obama & Co tried a backdoor method of gun control on people that are of sound mind, but applied for assistance with either their SS benefits, medical care, or book keeping assistance through the VA.
Here are several of my responses to other threads about the same subject;

//www.city-data.com/forum/47101517-post45.html

//www.city-data.com/forum/47103794-post51.html

or

I assist me Dad with various things because he is not computer literate, and virtually every form of help/assistance/communication now days is online. So if he did not have me to help him, he'd likely ask for assistance for his SSA or VA issues. Thus under Obama's gun control scheme, he'd have been declared mentally incompetent and his Constitutional rights abridged.
Rest assured he is sharper than most, and has handled and legally owned guns for longer than most people have been alive.

The Obama rule was a mess. For example, because Chantix was originally for mental health issues, if a smoker used it to stop smoking they would have been banned from guns.

Or because my son has Aspergers and we control his finances, he would have been banned from guns. He is more safety conscious at the range than the cops that go there.
