“The age of terror”: NRA’s new fearmongering ad campaign equates American exceptionalism to more guns
In the wake of Colorado Springs and San Bernardino, the NRA warns of “demons at our doors” to promote membership https://www.salon.com/2015/12/04/the..._to_more_guns/
Just like their "President Heel Spurs" the right wing is filled with cowards that see boogeymen under their beds and in their closets
Due to many blaming the NRA for our mental health problem I decided to join with a 5 year membership. 5 million kids under 12 on pharma. That's the problem. Mental health. Not guns.
You wasted your money. The NRA is a bunch of spineless wimps. Blue Lives Matter to them more than the 2nd Amendment. They're the John McCain/Mitt Romney of gun rights organizations.

Can you show me where in the NRAs mission statement it says that?
And can you point out how many NRA members carried out heinous attacks?
The Cincinnati Revolt in the late 1970's changed the way the NRA viewed the responsibilities that come along with rights, by undermining the responsibilities and refusing to acknowledge that people who pose a danger to themselves or others shouldn't have guns. Even if the NRA claim to be concerned with firearm safety, the emphasis since that time has increasingly been on donating hush money to the campaigns of the majority of Republicans and a small minority of Democrats to oppose any legislation aimed at keeping dangerous people from getting their hands on weapons (which is a multi-faceted problem deserving a multi-faceted solution). By doing so, the NRA has a role in promoting violence, and the political corruption that has failed to address it.
Here's a story a local Fox (a source that's typically thought of as having a conservative bend, BTW) affiliate did that briefly touches on the issues:

While I'm not a member of the NRA, I do own firearms. However, I mainly wanted to comment on the number of children in our society that are prescribed mind-altering drugs. I won't go into a long diatribe on the subject but I will say that I agree, it is a big problem. I believe millions of these kids are misdiagnosed and given medications that they do not need and which potentially alter their minds in a negative way.
