What? The OP quoted an article that used AN UN-NAMED SOURCE? What happened to the angst about never believing anything with an UN-NAMED SOURCE? Something smells like hypocrisy here - either believe all of them, or believe none of them.
You are not required to believe, or research anything.
However, Trump glosses over some important context. National-security requirements, not Boeing, have been the primary driver of high costs. Experts say the costs are broadly in line considering the high-tech and security requirements of a presidential plane.
So in the future if there is some kind of 'accident' because of some budget cut -- Trump will be to blame.
So, some future president would suffer because of trump. Not trump himself.

I wasn't talking about me, I was talking about someone who repetitively makes comments about un-named sources, who is now quoting an article that uses un-named sources.
So politifact points out that the cost was 3.79 billion, not the 4 billion claimed by Trump in the original deal. Boeing bumped the price upwards, then negotiated it down to 4 billion. 210 million MORE then the original price.
Yeah, not such a great deal. That being said....Id bet money its going to be more then that. To put it in perspective:
A single one of these planes costs as much as a Arleigh Burke class destroyer.

Beyond the headline, the savings resulted from a Boeing fire sale when Russia cancelled their in the works order for the 2 planes.
