1) Anyone with mental illness will not be able to buy a gun. ( mental illness not defined)

2) Increased LE in all schools. Numbers depend on school size.

3) Metal detectors, steel doors, better locks and bullet- proof glass in all schools.

4) Increased mental health counsellors in all schools

5) Threat assessment teams in all schools

He expects state legislators to act and encourages constituents to call their reps and make it happen.

Governor Scott did not mention allowing teachers to carry in school.

He already said it was a bad idea. Bullet proof glass in all windows? That sounds horribly expensive.

That will be the alternative to law enforcement in school. The cheaper... much cheaper... alternative.

It may be a matter of perspective, shooting into vs out of the school.

The Parkland school has hurricane resistant glass windows, common in Florida.

The shooter tried to break the glass on the third floor with the intention of shooting students as they fled the building. He was unable to do so.

It seems he then decided to drop his gun and shed his gear and run out with thousands of other students who were not barricaded in classrooms and such.

I see this as a sticky point. Means the shooter cant shoot in/out the windows, but neither could a police swat team sniper if they wanted to try and take out the shooter.

Too little too late and this Donny sycophant,(and even worse looking) has no chance to be elected Senator from Florida and needs to take his failed policies and himself off the playing field, and go back to his wife and family - if they'll have him!
