I don't know, I'm not criticizing police in general, and I realize it's an instantaneous and stressful situation, but isn't there some sort of training for these types of scenarios in terms of controlled fire and assessing the scene? Thankfully no one was around to get hit.

And these are the "highly trained" people anti gun nuts think should be the only ones armed. At least they didn't shoot 9 bystanders like New York cops.

Anti-Gun nuts want a system like the UK or Japan, their would be so little guns that their would be know need for police officers to have guns in the first place and the police would be unarmed except swat teams and special units/ officers.

It took 7 trained officers to subdue one dude with a gun.

When we could have send in one "good guy with a gun" and it's be over in seconds.....

At least, that's the right-wing fantasy.

Not for lack of effort. I saw the footage on the news this morning. Cops should NOT be packing hi cap sidearms and M4s. Spray n pray brother. Spray n pray.

a homeless guy ..

What the politicians in liberal cities don’t like to admit is that the homeless are behind a ton of crime .

They like to paint the homeless all as down on their luck angels .

“The San Francisco Police Department said the shooting happened on Feb. 17 in the city's Mission Bay neighborhood when officers confronted 31-year-old homicide suspect Joel Armstrong inside an RV at a homeless encampment“
