Wouldn't you call this racial discrimination?

A new lawsuit filed against YouTube alleges that the liberal tech giant stopped hiring white and Asian men because it hurt the company's goal of becoming more diverse in its workforce.

If Youtube hired on the likes of the SPLC to police content and crack down of free speech, you know they have serious problems.

It is discrimination and if youtube came out and said that they are not hiring black or brown people we would be hearing from outraged politicians and activists that would be calling for boycotts of youtube.

The thing is though white and asian guys are not a protected class so the people that make a big deal out of diversity yada yada don't care.

I say to hire the best man or woman for the job. If there is a lack of qualified black guys in the tech world then who is to blame for that? Could it be that they are just not that interested in the field?

I'd be interested to hear a follow up to this experiment by youtube in a few years.

It's really sad to see that racial-based hiring practices are now considered acceptable again. It's funny that the party of slavery and KKK-founding (democrats) claims that there was a "party switch", but here they are supporting discrimination based on skin color again.

I don't agree discrimination based on skin color is "funny", but the public acknowledgement that progressive employers are choosing to openly discriminate against white and asian hires is not surprising. as you point out above, the democrats do have that history.

if I was a white/Asian/jewish democrat, i'd seriously reconsider affiliation with the democrat party who supports discrimination based on skin color, had a dnc chair candidate call for whites to "shut up", has a deputy dnc chair who openly meets with louis Farrakhan and affiliates with leaders like the women's march organizer who has said she supports sharia law in the US.

I didn't say that discrimination is funny. I said that the "party switch" claim is funny.

For the left, t's only acceptable if they discriminate against straight white males.

If we apply it from a stereotypical view of radical liberal, I think they would hire any person that is not a straight White male.
