That must be the costs for the survey crew selecting the site.

It's going to cost a few hundred million, or close to a billion dollars.

BTW, I hear that Sheldon Adelson might be putting up a substantial portion of the cost to build. Not sure what he gets out of it though.

I'm thinking that is too cheap for an embassy. I've worked on "new builds" before both commercial and residential and that is a cheap residential budget. I'm hoping that it is the consultant fee for the A/E firm who will be designing an embassy or something. Even though I think its stupid to build a new embassy, I also don't want our people killed in a crappy building. Jerusalem and Israel are pretty volatile places

It's temporary occupancy in the existing consulate space for the Ambassador and a skeleton staff until a full- fledged embassy is built.

Maybe the $33,000 dining room set that was in Ben Carson's office will be shipped.
