That's cheap alright, let me guess, I guess he's getting the Mexicans to pay for it?

I saw him on TV and thats how is came across. He said people gave him a $1 billion price tag (obviously for the new embassy, not temporary), and he said he will do "it" with $250K. Then it turns out the "it" was not the $1 billion project.

So, what was the point it comparing the $250K to the $1 billion?

By setting up the temp embassy, he can appoint staff much sooner than if we were to wait for the new one to be built
He is not going to use the staff from Tel Aviv? What is going to happen to them?

Maybe he'll make the Palestinians pay for it.

You started a ridiculous thread, and your continuing the stupidity.
Your OP is based on misinformation, lack of information, and ignorance. Is it a joke? Are you a joke?

If that new Taylor Force Act passes that stops the $300 million a year we give them, that will pay for a new Embassy in just a few years.

I feel bad for the embassy staff in Tel Aviv....that is, if they ever actually have to leave and move to Jerusalem.

That’s like leaving San Diego and moving to Little Rock.

You know, with all the complaining everyone is doing has anyone looked at a map to see that it currently sits to the EAST of the 1949 Armistice line? In other words it's sitting on the side the Palestinians want to claim as their future state.

It's going to cost a few hundred million, or close to a billion dollars.

BTW, I hear that Sheldon Adelson might be putting up a substantial portion of the cost to build. Not sure what he gets out of it though.
They spent a billion building one in Iraq. Probably isn't going to be any different.

Is Little Rock an hour drive from San Diego? Maybe Tijuana would've been a better comparison.

The optic requires the Ambassador to be in Jerulsalrm.

There is only 50+/- miles between the two cities.
