But there's no doubt that Franklin County Recorder Danny O'Connor's (D) tight race against GOP state Sen. Troy Balderson has bolstered Democratic hopes.
O'Connor trailed Balderson by only 1,754 votes, or less than a percentage point, in a too-close-to-call count a day after polls closed.
Eight of the 45 districts that Trump won by a narrower margin than in Ohio are open races where the Republican incumbent is retiring, including two in New Jersey, and a district each in Florida, Michigan, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Dems see wider path to House after tight Ohio race

The GOP had to spend $3 million on this race which they are probably going to lose once all the votes are counted!

There is no possible way for OLD-MAN TRUMP to stump in the remaining 325 districts come the November elections, hahaha! JUST 3 MORE MONTHS, JUST 3 MORE MONTHS,JUST 3 MORE MONTHS, until the MOBSTER,WANNABE DICTATOR Trump wilL be totally I-R-R-E-L-E-V-A-N-T!

Even if it ends up that he does lose, this is not a super win for the GOP. This has always been a no brainer for the Republicans to win this red State, but for a young Democrat to come in and only lose by maybe a thousands votes is scaring the Hell out of the Republicans for what November will bring.

Looks like they just found 584 uncounted votes, all for Conner, so that narrows it down even more. If this had been a sweeping win for the GOP, then they could brag, but to only win by such a slim margin is pathetic.

lmao, this isn't horseshoes. You win or you lose. Democrats lost. Finding that silver lining in that is humorous. Good luck in your search for reality.

I can see a silver lining in the Democrats taking back the house in November, they will go off the rails even worse than they did in 2009 setting themselves up for an enormous loss in 2020. 2 years of the Democrats calling for impeachment and the plethora of BS issues they tend to put at the forefront is not a bad thing for the GOP.

Of course we would never expect you to tell the truth....

Ok, I agree I did misread that article this morning on the missing votes. Hadn't had my cup of coffee yet.

However, that does not diminish the fact that a win is not necessarily a win. This squeaker of an election has the GOP concerned, make no mistake about it. This is an area where the Republican should have run over his opponent with a steamroller, but it was touch and go to the final seconds.

The Trump effect is damaging GOP hopefuls everywhere, and they know it. This is like the hare beating the turtle by only an inch, when , under normal circumstances, there should have been a mile between them.

All good...I'm still on my first cup also....

And the left has the right to look at the silver lining...
