Honest?

Everything I said is 100% correct. If Democrat's keep "winning" like this, they won't keep what they have now. And what they have now is a powerlessness which hasn't been seen for more than 100 years.

So short sighted. Obama won two elections while the Dems lost seats on the midterms.

Folks are really bragging about barely winning deep red special elections?

I have seen the SAME thing when I lived in MD and all of a sudden the dem won.

of course the dem gov who won had an "investigation" and found NO wrongdoing.

Have you EVER seen the winning politician NOT win after an investigation?

And if Republicans keep winning by dropping their margin of victory by 30 points in every election, there won't be a Republican party left.

Forest for the trees dude.

Dems see wider path to House after tight Ohio race

The "wider path" is only as wide as the uncontrolled southern border.

How many seats had a 30+ point victory margin for the Republicans. Reduce the margin of victory by 30% across the board and see how many reps are left. If you call that winning, you may need to revise your definition.

You are ignoring some rather important factors such as this was a safe sea. You seem to think that Republicans narrowly winning a district like this is a good sign for them for November. Control of the House after November is not going to come down to a seat like OH-12.....

O'Connor shot his wad
Nice try but wrong, wrong, and wrong.

Yes, O'Connor PERSONALLY spent more.

https://www.opensecrets.org/races/su...e=2018&id=OH12

But outside groups that supported Balderson and attacked O'Connor spent millions.

https://www.opensecrets.org/races/ou...e=2018&id=OH12

And Balderson spent most of what he had too, leaving him only about 80K more cash on hand. I guess that means he cut his own throat too?

And you are also completely wrong about the issues. O'Connor is more Connor Lamb, not Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Most Democrats understand that, and understand that individual districts need candidates who reflect their district. And they know it's not just smart politics, it's smart policy too.

One reason you are wrong is that the media-created fantasy that Ocasio Cortez and Bernie Sanders actually represent the Democratic party is also wrong. Tuesday night showed that, and the Democrats are running good candidates all over the country who reflect the districts they are running in. Don't believe the hype.

I actually hope more of them have the same attitude that you and other D-D posters have because I really think you got your head in the sand. You're right. This isn't horseshoes. It's real people going out and voting for the candidate or the party they believe in. This district has been GOP for years. Now it's possible the Democrats can win. You can stick out your chest and proclaim victory, but the real GOP brass, though they won't admit it, is scared about what this race could mean for November.
