Andrew McCabe is eligible to retire this up coming Sunday with a full pension, it looks like he may not make it.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reviewing a recommendation to fire the former F.B.I. deputy director, Andrew G. McCabe, just days before he is scheduled to retire on Sunday, people briefed on the matter said.

Mr. McCabe is ensnared in an internal review that includes an examination of his decision in 2016 to allow F.B.I. officials to speak with reporters about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation. The Justice Department’s inspector general concluded that Mr. McCabe was not forthcoming during the review, according to the people briefed on the matter. That yet-to-be-released report triggered an F.B.I. disciplinary process that recommended his termination — leaving Mr. Sessions to either accept or reverse that decision.

I hope Sessions fires himself while he's at it.
So sick of Jeff Sessions.
He's the biggest example of a "waste of power".

That's not a nice thing to say about McCabe, but it probably describes him quite well.

If they fire McCabe before his retirement so that he loses his pension, it would be the action of pond scum. A petty vendetta against a man who served his country and served it honorably.

Given that only low-lifes would take such an action, it is well within the possibility that the Trump Administration would do this.

Was it OK for him to play the role he did with trying to screw the election or the nonsense afterwards? Did he NOT even think about his pension at that point? Did he think he could play the supreme leader and do a boatload of criminal crap and get away with it? What's the difference with what he did and a guy he plans a bank robbery? Nothing.....

That's totally what it is. It's just a petty malicious act and nothing more.

The recommendation to fire McCabe came after the Inspector General (an Obama appointee) investigated McCabe, and found wrongdoing.

Are you saying that they shouldn't fire someone when they were not being honest with the Inspector General during his investigation just because that person is near retirement?

Also, the IG report isn't out yet, there could be a lot more wrongdoing by McCabe that we don't know about.

He has long since qualified for his pension. He is just taking accumulated leave/vacation time now which ends this weekend. And starting retirement next week.
