As a cynical New Yorker, and with the way things are going with our esteemed governors, I wouldn't be surprised if over the next few weeks Paterson admits he's tried necrophilia, cannibalism, and enjoyed barnyard trysts with small furry animals

The lack of quality of our politicians is astounding.

An unfair comparison. Spitzer hired pros while energetically going after them with all the power he could muster from his office.

If Patterson was snorting blow whilst leading ferocious drug prosecutions, you would have an analogy. But that's Marion Barry, not David Patterson.
