After accusations from the Right that some outspoken protesters are actors/actresses, people began to take a closer look at the accusers. And no surprise, it turns out they are indeed guilty of what they accusing the Democrats of doing...

‘Oh my God…It’s fake’: Far right falls for hoax about Broward County sheriff

Quote:
In the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre, the far-right fever swamps buzzed withfalse information and conspiracy theories about student “crisis actors” who were paid to lie about the mass shooting. But ironically, conspiracy-minded conservatives fell for a political hoax involving a different kind of actor. The subject? Broward County’s Democratic sheriff, Scott Israel.

But we all know at a near future some posters here will ignore the fake part and post it as real news.

The videos were initially posted at the tail end of the bare-knuckle 2012 campaign when Israel defeated Republican incumbent Al Lamberti.

Six years ago.. sheesh...

“Oh my God,” she said. “How do I get this off YouTube?”

She apparently can’t. YouTube’s parent company, Google, has refused her efforts and those of Israel to take them down — an intransigence that illuminates how new media firms have become platforms for fake news and take little corporate responsibility to combat it.

Maybe they can link the video to gun control... then YouTube would remove them.

You didn't read the article, the Democratic Sheriff is NOW getting harassed for fake news that was created 6 years ago. The actress who starred in it 6 years ago didn't know she was used as a prop until recently.

And yes, the Republicans have been doing off this kind of stunt for years.....

Interesting read. She claims she didn’t know what she was doing and got paid $25 per video.

I did read the article. People are getting scammed off of a 6 year old video. OK - I got it.

Both sides do scams. Surely you understand this...

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

"Well, you do it too!" is the go-to defense for conservatives after being called out for pulling fake news and scams.

This is like Amy Winehouse saying, "Well, Michael Phelps do drugs too...."

Of course they did. Nothing gets righties more worked up than falsely accusing the left of the nasty actions of the right.
