A controversial pastor's conference welcoming only "white Christians" is underway in Lamar County, Ala., upsetting residents of the nearby town of Winfield in the western part of the state.
Christian Identity Ministries is holding a three-day conference for so-called "white Christians" who contend they have been treated unfairly, the Rev. Mel Lewis told local TV station WSFA. Lewis, the organizer and keynote speaker, says they have the right, like any other Americans, to worship how they wish.
I googled this guy and he looks exactly as I imagined him to be.
I think is contention that whites have been treated "unfairly" relates to them no longer being able to lynch blacks and homosexuals on their Sunday picnic outings.
You have every right to your views, but so long as they don't seek to use the power of the state to sanction them, these cretins have every right to theirs; that is something which you "trendy" progressives seem to overlook.
You begin by seeking out the most objectionable opponent you can stereotype and demonize, but from there your own doctrines become both more rigid and more complex -- so that any action or policy which doesn't fit your own standards of Absolute Political Correctness can be attacked and eventually, silenced.

Grow Up! -- and stop egging the lynch mob on from your well-deserved position among the lesser followers.

Identity politics gives white people and religion, group protection.
Ku Klux Klan flags and white supremacy slogans surround the conference, which will conclude with a cross being set on fire Friday night. Organizers say it's not a cross-burning, but rather sacred Christian cross lighting.
'Christian Identity' is synonymous with white supremacy, so not surprised at all about the flags and cross burning.
And these types of extremist groups do take advantage of white people who may not necessarily have extreme racist views, but feel that America is increasingly becoming hostile towards white people.
As I stated many times before, it's the concept of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." In the eyes of these moderate white people, the only groups that seem to speak for them, and unapologetically and non politically correct at that, are these racist groups. Hence, they overlook the more odious aspects of white supremacy and white nationalism, and embrace the other messages of white racial unity and segregation that don't seem to be violent.

So. It’s a white man’s religion anyway. He’s just going by the tenets of his faith.
