If doctors were so irresponsible and reckless when it comes to medicating and prescribing opiates in the first place...why in the world are we trusting anything else they say?! Its OK that govt must step in and regulate this for the doctors, but oh we will still allow those same doctors to make other very important decisions for you?!! LOL That makes a whole lot of sense!

If there is doubt, shouldn't they be allowed to research it to find out for sure?
The only people against this are the pharmaceutical companies, and the people they're able to manipulate.
Don't forget the Christian Right. White evangelicals remain the only demographic strongly in support of keeping marijuana illegal. Most of the time marijuana prohibition is painted as a moral issue and as something needed to protect people from themselves.
We will never see legal weed in this country until the Southern Baptist church backs off its hard-line prohibitionist stance.
