CNN journalists would be foaming from the mouth and covering this 24/7. The fact they're not leads me to believe this is a nothingburger, with weak sauce.

Alex van der Zwaan is the son in law of Russian oligarch and Putin friend, German Khan.

Interesting that he's the first to get a jail sentence.

Do you find it interesting that he admitted he did something wrong?

Wasted millions on the Benghazi investigations. In the end even Trey Gowdy admitted that there was no way to get military support there in time to prevent that tragedy. Which everyone else knew at the start.

It is ludicrous to insist that these multi-million dollar investigations were more vital to our nation than investigating whether a foreign adversary is involved in running our government.
Iran Contra was a joke. Just more covering up of nation building.

Speaking of nation building. Getting security into Benghazi was after the fact. They could easily have died too.
We found out democratic leadership lied about Benghazi. 4 Americans died because the dems were nation building by running guns to 1 side. The other side found out and retaliated. It wasn't the bigoted response that crazy muslims rioted over a video. During the congressional hearings hillary lied to Sen Paul when she said she didn't know anything about the gun running when in fact it was her baby.

I think exposing lying, war mongers in leadership is vital.

Why wasn't Page charged with anything during the four years he was working for the FBI? Why hasn't he been charged with being a spy by Mueller? Doesn't make any sense does it?

The court documents say that Mr. Page, who founded an investment company in New York called Global Energy Capital, provided documents about the energy business to one of the Russians. […] To record their conversations, the F.B.I. inserted a listening device into binders that were passed to the Russian intelligence operatives during an energy conference, according to a former United States intelligence official.

According to prosecutors, in April 2012, Sporyshev met an undercover FBI employee posing as an analyst at a New York energy firm at an oil and gas industry conference.
Over the next two years, they met to discuss the industry and other economic and political issues, prosecutors said, with Sporyshev providing gifts and cash for information.
In 2013, the FBI employee began providing Sporyshev with the binders containing purported industry analysis he wrote, supporting documents, and “covertly placed recording devices,” prosecutors wrote.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes, I think Mueller's going to want to talk to him...

It was revealed that the Skadden Law Firm was instrumental in justifying the jailing of the opposition leader and explaining how the Russian puppet was justified. The million dollar question once again is why did Van Der Zwann need to lie, what are they covering up that was so important.
While I don't believe that Skadden did anything illegal, what was exactly their interest in writing a glowing recommendation for sending someone to jail in Ukraine.
