No! He should not have pulled his gun out. South Carolina's concealed policy is that the gun is concealed from public view unless you have to use in an emergency. I understand what he was trying to do but he went about it in the wrong way. And yes your permit can be taken away by such actions.

Don't indulge his idiocy. Due to changing demographics (northeasterners moving South) over the last several decades, much of the South is now very Moderate due to the influx of Liberal/Progressives.

I've visited there many times and my impression was the only worthwhile things to come out of SC are Colbert, Hootie and the Blowfish, some sweet BMW's out of Spartanburg and City Data's own cuebald.
