As am I. With the number of high level Republicans who had to sign off on this, it feels a lot bigger than that.
Me too.
I could be wrong but I would not assume it is about the porn pay off. That would not require a raid.
This probably goes back from before that came into the spotlight, possibly before the election, to something about a transfer of funds or some contracts or partnership arrangements Cohen was involved in facilitating. Perhaps sanction violations or bribery.
i'm still skeptical that this is solely about the stormy daniels pay-off.
The Wall Street Journal link found in "all things Stormy, MERGED" mentions another Cohen payoff within 3 months of the election as a matter to be investigated.
However I doubt that both of these issues were enough for a Judge to approve the no-knock raid. There must be information that implicates Cohen in non-Russian malfeasance. Cohen is a fundraiser for the Republican National Committee. Just wondering if he could be syphoning off money from that committee or soliciting money from offshore sources. One of Muller's prosecutors is an expert in financial fraud investigations. No-knocks are frequently used when destruction of evidence is feared.
Cohen's former law partners were disbarred.

I have to say I do respect all these top level Republicans involved in the search warrant - and they were almost all Republicans appointed by Trump - who are showing they believe in the rule of law and choose to be American patriots instead of cult followers.
Of course, they are highly educated, intelligent, seasoned and realize how history will perceive this episode in history as preserving our democracy and not allow the obstruction of justice. There is a reason Trump said he loved the "poorly educated".
The investigators have much more courage than most of the Republicans in Congress, particularly the House, who are mostly silent now but will jump ship like rats if it will affect their election results this fall. Depends on how safe they are in their gerrymandered districts.

Could be some of the first results coming in from the raid last May.

No one is above the law or our country is doomed.
But Trump says it is "disgraceful". In fact, he uses the word "disgraceful" ad nauseam and the irony is, he is the most disgraceful thing to happen to this country since forever. What an idiot...calling the rule of law disgraceful.

Well, an attack on Trump is an attack against all Americans, right? Because Trump's divine essence is intertwined with the identity of America, right?
