The universe of documents that are potentially protected by the attorney-client privilege cannot be that big given that Cohen apparently advised the Court last night that he only had 3 clients, including Trump and Broidy. That kind of blows Cohen's attorneys' claim that "potentially millions" of protected documents were seized. Not good given that they are looking to get Judge Kimba-Wood to take the unusual step of appointing a special master for privilege review. Its an entirely subjective call on her part and credibility matters. Cohen's absence from the Court on Friday and tweets that reflect a misunderstanding of how attorney-client privilege works probably don't help either.

if i understood correctly, the letter that was sent last night was arguing that trump personally was entitled to review the documents first.

Cohen heard a real "dog whistle" Friday
Note the open air meeting making it difficult to "tap" conversation between Cohen and his real masters--the Russian mob
Even someone from Deutsch Bank to protect that interest

"Lawyers for President Donald Trump's personal attorney say investigators "took everything" during raids last week on his residence and office. ...They said investigators seized more than a dozen electronic devices and other items including documents and data unrelated to the probable cause upon which the search warrants were based."

The Stormy payment may be the key that opens a treasure trove of criminal evidence related to all sorts of shady dealings, including Trump-Russia. Trump's lawyers are asking the judge to block his own FBI from seeing much of this evidence... gee, isn't that obstruction?

Since Trump doesn't read anything longer than 5 words at a time that's sketchy

And the request was as absurd then as it is today. These guys should have been pushing for a special master from the get-go if they wanted to get the emails out of the hands of the taint team. Instead, they pushed for Cohen/Trump's team to personally review it and then had to walk it back to asking for a special master, completely undermining their credibility in the process.

The Judge ordered him to reveal his client list, and it appears he is refusing to do so. Any lawyers here? Is this a sanctionable action?

By saying the FBI is Trump's personal agent you follow the same illogic that Trump used trying to suborn Comey re Flynn
The FBI, the DoJ, the SDNY all work for the PEOPLE of the US
Not Trump
Not even "a president"
The DoJ in its entirety exists to enforce laws impartially, prosecute crimes impartially, and protect the Constitution and government -- never serve political/personal interests of any party or official in govt...
Naive I admit
And doesnt always happen I know
But I take the rule of law seriously
Opposable thumbs aren't really what define Man from animals
It has been the rule of law--impartial and unimpaired

Its probably not a big issue if he reveals it to the Judge but not to the public, but technically the mere existence of an attorney-client relationship is not information that is protected by the attorney-client privilege.

I would be willing to bet that the attorneys for the media will argue that the public has an interest in this information and that there is no reason to keep it secret. Then it would be incumbent on Cohen's attorneys to demonstrate why keep the identity of the third client should be hidden from public view in light of the general public policy of transparency during litigation.

Maybe Trump Jr but bet a Russian
But he cant refuse
He cant apply priviledge wo making his clients known
The judge said Fri
Unless making the name known would reveal the nature of the action
Like anothe NDA agreement
So maybe release to judge n FBI
If Russian would be moneylaundering
Their girlfriends get beaten up not paid off
