I read this earlier. I've been putting off moving to a credit union and this is just the motivation I needed. I was going to dump them earlier when they charged me 1% to take a check for 20 grand because I used a teller. They did this and I didn't catch it until I got my monthly statement, very shady.
BofA sucks anyway. Just ask service members who were illegally foreclosed on. They should count themselves fortunate to not have to deal with such a crooked company.
The big bank are all pretty bad one way or the other. You just have to pick your poison. Just look at the recent Wells Fargo fiasco. Anyhow I find it interesting that BoA isn't going to be lending to arms making who sell military style arms to the public. How does/will BoA define military style? Then which bank will follow their lead next if any.
I had one before but switched jobs. We had a loan through BOFA already so we just used that account more. The loan is almost up so time to hunt credit unions.
The capitalist banker won't do so well under communism but they haven't figured that out yet.
Communism? Can you define Communism in the context of your post, please? One of us doesn't have a clue what Communism is, or the meaning has changed dramatically from what it used to be.
They are a private corporation that can make their own choices. That's what you all want correct? Less government intervention? Don't complain and whine on a message board. Just take your business elsewhere as you all state you are going to. That's the way it works. Try to stop being a melting snowflake over capitalistic freedom.

When we owned our house Wells Fargo was our lender. We had banked with BofA years before and the best decision after less than 6 months was to pull my money out of their banks.
