Good--too many are in prison over trivial non-violent BS. We are the World's leading jailer and often non-violent drug "criminals" receive harsher sentencing than a murderer or rapist, (thanks to 3 strike laws).

It is interesting that the two states are Maine and Vermont that allow prisoners to vote. Maine is one of the only states in our Nation that has prisoners crafting articles to be sold: Maine Department of Corrections: Prison Showroom Gallery. We have furniture in our house that we have bought from that store. What I am saying is that they operate their prison system differently than many other states.
I would not be in favor of allowing prisoners to vote without knowing their immigration status. Maine has fought against REAL ID: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id/maine.
there should be no such thing as a federal income tax (that only 1/2 the country has to pay).
