Why? Nobody minds it except for a few chronically offended liberals.

Sad. He's been reduced to bragging about even the tiniest things. If a single mission goes off without being a colossal disaster, he brags like he just won the war.

He's desperate for any sort of win. He desperately wants there to be an above-the-fold headline that isn't about either what a dumpster fire his administration is or the criminal dealings of his close associates.
