Blah, blah, blah. I’ve heard Democrats for years say we need to focus on punishing the employers for hiring them (and agreed), only to discover they don’t mean it at all. Now employers in California can be punished just for cooperating with ICE. Bunch of frickin hypocrites.

Ignorance is bliss...

I also find your "reasoning" to be quite sad. It's similar to blaming a woman who was raped for the violation because she is "attractive." "Attracting" male attention and male interest apparently puts HER at fault for the rape, according to your logic.
Oh, yea. It's like the woman pays the rapist with USD.

Can't do it. The Fed Gov can't tell employers they can't hire illegal aliens and then at the same time federal courts tell them they can be sued for discrimination if they require an applicant to present proof of legal status in the U.S. Any decent judge would immediately dismiss the charges for hiring illegals.

This is a problem of the Fed Gov's own making.

It's also why the State of California is able to hire an illegal alien, most recently Lizbeth Mateo, for a state government position.

The solution is to lock up the employers of illegal aliens. Throw a few of the biggest offenders in the can and the rest would get the message. Problem solved for a lot less money than a wall.
I'm all for it.

The problem is, if we could lawfully do that then we could deport the ones that don't belong here too.

So now you are saying that illegal aliens that hire others are not being deported? You better crawl from underneath that rock.

Ca should start losing congressional seats with the next census. There is so many big issues that are going wrong in Ca. and the decline is beginning as people move out.

California isn’t the future, rather, it’s what America’s 2016 election of Donald Trump saved the nation from becoming. It’s not a harbinger of things to come, but it will soon be an example of the fate we narrowly avoided.

Why do you love to hate on California? It's a big state and plays a major role in our economy.

I'm still wondering how the states of California and NY can knowingly admit illegal aliens to their State Bars. Violating federal law by living in the U.S. illegally is a violation of several of their Ethics (etc.) rules.
