Very interesting development: Cohen has dropped the libel lawsuits he filed against BuzzFeed & Fusion GPS over the dossier. Now won’t have to answer related questions in litigation including on whether or not he went to Prague to meet with Russian oligarchs. Comes days after McClatchy reported Mueller has evidence he was in Prague.
By the way that reminds that, to the contrary of state TV propaganda on fox news, steele dossier was originally funded by republicans, not dems (not that it matters to the methodology and reputation of Steele and his sources).
Reminder: Steele dossier was corroborated on at least a few aspects of Trump-Russia: manafort, page and coffee boy.
Of course, he would drop the law suit, like Trump drops nearly all his lawsuits. The lawsuit is just a bullying tactic and when you call their bluff and fight back they scatter like rodents who have the light shone on them. A little thing called discovery in litigation has them scared to death, and for good reason: It will reveal their lies and deceit.

yep. my favorite example of this is when they sued bill maher for slander for joking that trump was the result of his mother getting jiggy with an orangutan. a lot of bluster and bravado when they filed the suit....... then ever so quietly dropped the suit a few weeks later.
Typical. The lawsuit was bogus to begin with, but by dropping it, he can avoid having to discuss possibly traveling to Prague.
But, but...if Cohen had never traveled to Prague like he and Trump supporters say he hasn't, why is he suddenly dropping a lawsuit that would open him up to questions about.....possibly visiting Prague?
Some days it seems like the circle of justice will never begin to tighten around this traitor.
But little by little, without pause nor exception, it IS tightening. Each one of these vignettes leaves less and less wiggle room for these slime, who would destroy our nation for their own benefit, to slip from the net of prosecution.
As a former senior official wrote to me, "let justice takes its course. Either truth will out, or the Nation will collapse. You must trust that that which has survived many onslaughts over 250 years will prevail." It is not easy after the daily onslaughts from the dotard, but yes, little by little, the walls are closing in on this monster (subtle, but not unlike other monsters which have attempted to consume civilizations over the years).

So...Trump was afraid of discovery? A test that might show that he is indeed half ape? LOL Is that why he dropped the suit? Too afraid of the truth!!!LOL Orangutrump...LOL
I've seen Cohen's type before. A lot of bluster and threats using lay-peoples' unfamiliarity with the law to intimidate them (and the occasional commencement of a lawsuit), but when the rubber hits the road and it comes time for discovery, he's all talk and no trousers.

the truth is even funnier....... obvious jokes are immune from slander/libel lawsuits. in order for trump to have won his lawsuit he'd have had to prove that a "reasonable person" would have believed that maher was being serious. trump was literally arguing that it was reasonable to believe that he was the "spawn of an orangutan".
